Development of Writing Text Instructional Materials Literacy Based On X Class X Students

This study aims to: 1) Describe the quantitative descriptive of the validation results of materials experts and design experts of developing teaching materials to write literary-based exposition texts developed in the students of SMA Negeri 1 Hamparan Perak class. 2) Describe the development of teaching materials to write literary-based exposition texts developed in grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Hamparan Perak. 3) Knowing the effectiveness of the use of teaching materials to write literary-based exposition texts in SMA Negeri 1 Silver Overlay. This type of research is a development study using the Brog and Gall product development model. Trial subjects consist of material experts, design experts, Indonesian teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 Hamparan Perak. on individual trials consisting of 3 students, 9 students in small group trials, and 35 students for a limited field group. Data on the quality of this development product were collected through a questionnaire. The result of the research shows that: (1) validation of material experts include the feasibility of the content with an average of 89.71 on the criteria is very good, the feasibility of presentation with an average of 88.46% on the criteria is very good, the language aspect with an average of 91.35% on excellent criteria, (2) design expert validation with an average of 92.50% on very good criteria, (3) teacher response with an average of 86.76% with very good criteria, (4) individual trials with flat (5) small group trials with an average of 80.79% with very good criteria, and (6) limited field group test with an average of 84.29% with very good criteria .
The end product of this instructional material development is followed by product effectiveness test. The research is done on the students of grade X of SMA Negeri Hamparan Perak. The method used in this research is the quasi-experimental method. The sample of the study were 70 students consisting of 35 students as experimental class which was taught by using teaching material of expedited literacy based expression and 35 students as the controller who used textbook which as last for this in the learning process.
The result of the learning of the group of students that was taught by using the teaching materials of writing exposition based on the developed literacy was 74.63% higher than the group of students who were taught using textbooks of 69.34%. This proves that the teaching material of expository text developed more effectively than the Indonesian language handbook students.
