The Development of Inquiry Based Teaching Materials on The Observation Report Text for Student of Grade X SMA Swasta Gajah Mada Medan

This study aims to produce inquiry based teaching materials on observastion report text in students of class X SMA Gajah Mada Medan. This study uses a type of research and development drawn from Borg and Gall. The trials in this study were conducted three times consisting of: (1) individualized trials of 3 students, (2) small group trials to 9 students, and (3) large-scale trials to 32 students. Validation of products in the form of inquiry based teaching materials on observastion report text in this study conducted by two material experts and two design experts. The results of product validity by both material experts indicate that the teaching materials to write the text of this inquiry-based observation report is categorized very well. This includes the content feasibility aspect with an average score of 85.15; aspect of feasibility of presentation with score average 86,41; and aspects of categorization are very good with an average score of 88.46. Furthermore, the results of product validity by both design experts also showed very good category with an average score of 86.25.
