The Effect of “Question Students Have” Strategy On Result of Learning Mathematics Students Class XI MAN 2 MODEL Medan School Year 2015/2016

Abstract

This research aims to : 1) Use of learning strategies "question student have" on the material of composition function and inverse function, 2) Use of expository learning strategy on the material of composition function and inverse function, 3) Whether or not it exists the effect of learning strategy “question students have” on the material of composition function and inverse function. This research is a quantitative research with experimental research. The population of the study is students of class XI MAN 2 Medan Model, which were 13 classes and the samples taken were class XI IPA 6 as experimental class with 39 students and XI IPA 7 as control class with 43 students. Instruments used is an essay test in the form of pretest and postest which amounts to 10 items. The findings indicate that the class was taught by uses "question students have" strategy have increased by 28.205% with average 75.77 and standard deviation 16.99, while the class taught by the expository strategy have increased by 10.116% with an average 47.56 and standard deviation 18.53. Based on hypothesis test show it can be concluded that use of “question students have” strategy give a positive effect and significant on result of learning mathematics students on compositional function and inverse function in class XI MAN 2 Model Medan school year 2015/2016.
