This research examined feasibility, studentsí learning improvement, and promoting learning media using Macromedia Flash 8 as a solution for teaching Social Science that is less various. This media employed computer software to merge pictures, graphics, animations, sounds and text to make learning more interesting, effective, and enjoyable for students. This study was implemented for 5th grade students of SDN BiremBayeun, East Aceh by using Research and Development Model. This research included the phases of (1) analyzing studentsí need, (2) designing materials, (3) validating product, (4) testing product, and (5) revising. The instruments encompassed validating questionnaires from experts, studentsí response questionnaires, and studentsí test result. The data of studentsí test result was analyzed by using T-test, while Likert scale was used to reveal the feasibility of the media for teaching Social Science. T-test exposed the result of Tcalc= 4,683 >ttabel = 2,002, which indicated the existence of difference on the studentsí test result before the treatment and after the treatment; post-test indicated the increase upon studentsí achievement. Then, the feasibility analysis exposed the fact that this media was feasible to be used to teach Social Science. The implication of this research directed to the conclusion that Macromedia Flash 8 was practical to facilitate learning and was able to provide meaningful learning.
