THE EFEECT OF SNOWBALL THROWING METHOD ON STUDENTS’ TENSES MASTERY

The aims of the research is to know whether there is any significant effect of snowball throwing method on students’ mastery of past time. The population is all of the tenth grade students are 151 students. The sample is 30 students which are taken by cluster sampling. The research method is used by experimental method. The data is collected by observation sheet and test as an instrument. The researcher uses statistic processes in analyzing by using the formula〖 t〗_test. After collecting the data, it is found the mean score of obsevational data of snowball throwing method is 2.86 can be categorized “good”. The mean score of teaching past time before given snowball throwing method is 65.5 can be categorized “enough”. Meanwhile, mean score of teaching past time after given snowball throwing method is 77.8 can be categorized “good”. The result of the analyzed data shows that the score of ttest > ttable (9.81 > 2.04). In other words, the score of ttest is higher than ttable. So, the hypothesis is accepted.
