The aim of this research is to know whether there is any significant effect of drill method in teaching passive voice. The population of this research consists of 177 students. The sample is taken from the population by cluster sampling which consists of 32 students. The research method is used by experimental method. The data is collected by test as an instrument. The researcher uses statistic processes in analyzing the data by using the formula 〖 t〗_test. After calculating the data, 1) the result using drill method has the average 2.88; it is categorized “good”, 2.) It is found that the mean score of passive voice before using drill method is 64.78; it is categorized “enough”. While 3) the mean score of passive voice after using drill method is 76.28, it is categorized “good”. After analyzing the data, the score of ttest is 8.35 While, the samples are 32 students or N = 32 students. The degree of freedom (df) is N – 1 = 32 – 1 = 31. So, the researcher takes the nearest of degrees of freedom, namely 30. The researcher takes the score df of ttable at 5% significant level of number 30 is 2.04. After finding the score of ttest and ttable, both of the scores are compared. It is found that ttest is higher than ttable (ttest > ttable = 8.35 > 2.04). It meas that there is significant effect of drill method in teaching passive voice.
